Rev. Julianne Lewis

Reverend Julianne Lewis has ministered and taught in various Church and Community settings for the past 25 years. Her personal beliefs, spiritual training, and study of the world’s major religions have come together to form a rich tapestry of understanding and faith. A highly skilled spiritual and life-issues counselor, Rev. Julianne combines her chemical dependency training with a remarkable insight into human behavior that has a powerful and lasting impact on her clients. Known by her congregation as "The Radical Rev," she has a lively and passionate approach to New Thought ministry, A Course in Miracles and the study of major world religions. Rev. Julianne offers insightful and inspired teaching that entertains illuminates and challenges. Her years of ministry have deepened both her understanding and her ability to spark and sustain spiritual growth. Reverend Lewis is serving the Interfaith CommUNITY Church of Mesa.

Betty Bennett is a Licensed Unity Teacher, a Spirit-Centered Life Coach, and an experienced group facilitator, trainer and speaker who has been in Unity since 2004. She served for 5 years as Worship Coordinator at Unity of Phoenix. 

With a bachelor’s degree in music education from Grand Canyon University and an MBA in strategic planning and marketing communications from Arizona State University, her experiences have led her through positions in Washington, D.C. and Arizona State Government, including the Arizona Governor’s Office.  She has been a hospital planning and marketing director, a fine arts events manager, a political consultant, and a public school teacher and professional singer.

 Betty’s intention is always to touch hearts and help people change their lives by moving on from their ‘stuckness’. She currently speaks and facilitates classes and workshops in churches throughout Unity’s Southwest Region and serves as part-time Spiritual Leader for Unity Center of the Desert in Yuma.

Her mission is to live from within out, to live every day in gratitude and to serve wherever Spirit may lead.

Our Ministers

Ordained New Thought Minister and Licensed Unity Teacher Dr. Lynnette Brouwer has attended Unity churches for over 20 years. During that time she has led book groups, served on a Board of Directors, and volunteered in various other capacities with Unity churches. She brings over two decades of experience as a university professor in the areas of leadership and management, as well as expertise in marketing, project planning and management, service quality and grant administration. Throughout her career she has worked with people of various ages, backgrounds, and nationalities. She is an accomplished public speaker and author.  Lynnette is pleased to be able to bring all of this experience together in service to Unity of Payson.  Dr. Lynnette feels incredibly fortunate to have discovered Unity before growing her family, which has enabled her to bring up her children in the Unity tradition.  As part of the team that initiated Unity here in Payson, Lynnette holds a vision for this church to be  a vibrant and vital spiritual community, making a difference in Payson and in our individual lives.  here.

Rev. Michelle Abraham is an ordained New Thought minister and Licensed Unity Teacher of Adult Education.  Her personal life's mission is to create an inspiring, loving and comfortable space where individuals can realize and live their full potential. “One of the greatest gifts is witnessing their inner-light turn on and seeing them excelling in areas they never imagined possible!”  


In addition, before and after becoming a member of Unity of Phoenix in 2004, she has served in many volunteer positions, including Prayer Chaplain, courtyard volunteer, staff role as Volunteer/Outreach Coordinator and staff role of Spiritual Education and Special Events Coordinator.
