Class: Nonviolent Communication as a Spiritual Practice
Six Tuesdays, February 15 - March 22, 2022 from 4-6 pm MST
This 6-week class offers an integration of Unity principles and practices of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). NVC is a process of conflict resolution that emphasizes choice, accountability for one’s feelings and actions, and mutual regard for self and other. This process can be used to resolve both inner and outer conflict. Understanding how our feelings are connected to our values opens the way for living with integrity as our actions stem from inner wisdom, intention and self-awareness. Unity principles and NVC skills can be utilized together in daily spiritual practice and self-care activity, daily interactions with others, (students, teachers, employers, employees, friends, family, etc.), ministerial administration, and in pastoral care and counseling.
